Position Title: Clinical Administrative Associate
Position Status: Full-time
Campus: Patient Care Center-Pomona, CA
Performs varied administrative and office duties to support the clinical activities of the Dental Center; requires extensive knowledge of dental office procedures and protocols.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Individuals must possess the knowledge, as well as the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Experience in the policies and procedures of a multi-provider dental practice, preferably within a dental school environment.
Dental services billing experience with knowledge of billing for Denti-Cal & private insurance companies.
Experience in working in an electronic health record and electronic billing.
Must have working knowledge of the laws governing billing and collections efforts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively interact with health care professionals, students and patients. Bilingual ability helpful.
Experience with computers, Microsoft office, printers, calculator, fax machine, copy machine operation, and telephone operation.
Education: Associate of Arts degree and/or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years administrative/clerical or equivalent experience and experience working in a healthcare clinic
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must maintain a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) that satisfies the requirements of the WesternU Vehicle Use Policy
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Preference given to those who possess experience in an academic environment
Dental assisting experience
List comments regarding work hours:
Monday -Friday 8 am to 5 pm with some 7:30 am start time. Travel to WesternU CDM clinics located in Pomona, El Monte, Chino, and Rancho Mirage maybe required.
