Position Title: Budget Associate II
Position Status: Full-time
Campus: Western University Campus-Pomona, CA
Under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Finance and Budget Administration, is the first point of contact in the Office of Budget Administration. Duties include support to the AVP and the Budget Team, compiles data, assists the Budget Analysts in the Budget Development Process, provide proactive follow-up to promote effective fiscal management; maintain active calendar tracking and communication of upcoming budget activities, workshops, information sessions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Individual must have knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities. 1. Good computer skills necessary in order to set up document formats in Excel (formulas & charts at an intermediate level), Word, Banner accounting system, Internet, and BudgetPak. Flexibility in job assignments a must. 2. Good mathematical skills, including the ability to operate a 10-key calculator. Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments with accuracy. Must have ability to reconcile and verify the accuracy of activities. 3. Good verbal communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to effectively interact and assist with administration, faculty, and staff.
1. Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and/or experience, or training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. 2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years finance or accounting experience.
